As 2024 winds down, now is the perfect time to reflect on lessons learned and create a powerful strategy for 2025. Taking the time to pause and evaluate the past year isn’t just about looking back—it’s about setting a foundation for meaningful growth.

In this special year-end edition of my Linkedin newsletter The Behaviour Shift, I’m sharing a structured approach to conducting your own personal and leadership wrap-up. It starts with reviewing key insights: What strategies worked? Where did execution fall short? What lessons did you learn about yourself, your team, and your organisation?

Beyond team performance, great leadership requires self-accountability. Are you actively coaching your team or just directing them? Are you identifying and nurturing strengths or simply reacting to challenges? These questions help leaders recognise where they need to step up in order to build a high-performing culture.

But reflection isn’t just about work—it’s personal. How effectively did you manage your time? What habits helped or hindered your success? Identifying roadblocks, celebrating progress, and committing to small, impactful habits will set the tone for an intentional and productive 2025.

Finally, the blog highlights the importance of planning for the year ahead. By setting clear priorities for Q1, defining three ambitious yet achievable goals, and locking in two key habits, you can ensure momentum and direction from day one. A simple yet powerful action step? Schedule two 1:1s with your team members in January and February to align expectations and drive development.

This isn’t just another reflection exercise—it’s about owning your leadership journey and taking purposeful action.
